Yes! Responderfirstaid.ca is a Canadian Red Cross Training Partner. All of our courses are delivered to meet Canadian Red Cross Standards. Upon successful completion of your course, you will receive a Red Cross Certification.
how long are certifications valid?
Professional Responder and Core First Aid courses are valid for 3 years (BLS CPR is 1 year). It is recommended that CPR certifications be updated annually or as recommended by your employer/governing body.
Can i register for a recertification course?
You can register for a recertification course provided you current certification has not and will not expire prior to the course date. If your current certification indicated it is a recertification, you must take the full course. **Please contact us if you have any questions, we cannot offer refunds to participants who attend a course without the appropriate prerequisites.
What is a professional responder course?
Professional Responder courses are Red Cross certifications for those providing emergency response: firefighters, law-enforcement officers, emergency medical services personnel, and workplace responders. Emergency Medical Responder courses meet the Paramedic Association of Canada National Occupational Competency Profile for the practitioner level of emergency medical responder (EMR).
What is a core first aid course?
Core First Aid courses that we offer consist of: Standard First Aid, Emergency First Aid and CPR Level A, C and BLS.
Where are your courses located?
All of our courses are held in Burlington, Ontario. Alternatively, we are able to provide training at your location as well provided it meets the Red Cross Standard for space requirements.
My certification has expired, can i still register for recertification course?
Unfortunately no, Red cross standards require you to take the full course if your certification has expired. Please contact us for more information
my certification says "Recertified" on it, can I register for a recertification course again?
No, Once you have recertified your certificate, you must take the full course again.
What payment options do you accept?
You may register for any of our courses securely online using SQUARE. For etransfer, cash or cheque payments/additional options, please contact us. We require full payment when booking your course.

CAn I schedule a private course at my location/workplace?
Yes! Provided your location meets the Canadian Red Cross Standards for location and space requirements. We can provide training at our location or yours. We also offer flexible scheduling. Please contact us for more information.
Do you have a minimum requirement for the number of course participants?
Yes, for training at our location we require a minimum of 3 participants to run a course, with a maximum of 6 participants. This ensures we can meet our standard for providing the maximum amount of time for scenarios and hands-on skills training and a small Instructor to Participant ratio. For training at your location, please contact us for more information.
